  23. Viewing the CD-ROM content:

  26. 1. Once you've inserted the CD into your CD-ROM drive a window should 
  27. open displaying the contents of the disk. If a window does not open, 
  28. navigate to the CD drive and open the disk manually. On Windows, you 
  29. can do this by going to My Computer and selecting the CD. On the Mac, 
  30. double-click on the CD icon on the Desktop.

  32. 2. Double-click START_HERE.pdf. Although it is recommended that you 
  33. use Adobe Reader 9 to view the disk content, your computer may be 
  34. setup to open PDF files in a different application by default. If 
  35. your computer does not have an application to view PDF files, you 
  36. can get the latest version of Adobe Reader from the Adobe website 
  37. (http://www.adobe.com/go/EN_US-H-GET-READER) or you can install Adobe 
  38. Reader directly from this CD-ROM by clicking into the Install Adobe 
  39. Reader 9 folder and then selecting the operating system you are using.

  41. 3. Once you have launched START_HERE.pdf, you will see icons for each 
  42. magazine issue available on this disk. You can access each issue by 
  43. clicking on the icon. Another window will open displaying the issue you 
  44. have selected. At anytime, you can close or move this window and return 
  45. to the main menu and select other issues on the disk.

  48. Searching the CD-ROM content:

  51. You can search for terms in each issue by using the search bar in Adobe 
  52. Reader. Depending on which version of Adobe Reader you are using, the 
  53. search bar will be available once you have opened a magazine issue from 
  54. the main menu.

  57. Installing Adobe Reader

  60. If you need to install Adobe Reader to view the content on this disk, 
  61. there are 2 ways you can do this.
  62.  
  63. 1. Go to: http://www.adobe.com/go/EN_US-H-GET-READER. From there you can 
  64. download and install the latest version of Adobe Reader.
  65.  
  66. 2. To install Adobe Reader directly from this disk, open the Install Adobe 
  67. Reader folder and then open the folder for the operating system you are using. 
  68. If you are using Windows XP and need to determine which Service Pack you have, 
  69. you can go to Control Panel and then System. If you are using a Mac and need 
  70. to determine whether you are using an Intel processor or a PowerPC processor, 
  71. you can go to the Apple menu in the upper left corner of the screen and select 
  72. About This Mac.

  74. 3. Double-click the installer in the folder for your operating system and 
  75. follow the on-screen instructions to install Adobe Reader.
